LOGO GUIDELINES

As an initiative of Peninsula Community Foundation and San Mateo County, the Peninsula Partnership for Children, Youth and Families must be visually connected to the Foundation. However, it is also important that the Peninsula Partnership be recognizable as a unique office. With this in mind, the Peninsula Partnership Logo shares the primary shape of the Peninsula Community Foundation Logo—an open, classic spiral—but appears in Partnership Blue and incorporates a small, ancillary spark.

The Peninsula Partnership Logo incorporates an abstract representation of the letterforms “P” and “C” (for Peninsula Community Foundation) and the shape connotes focus, flexibility and energy. The spiral implies a gathering of momentum, and the spark depicts the impact of united energy. The openness of the spiral also conveys approachability and friendliness—two distinguishing characteristics of Peninsula Community Foundation and the Peninsula Partnership. And, the spiral crosses over itself at the center, which is a subtle way of illustrating the Partnership’s close connection with local organizations, municipal partners and community members. It also communicates the Peninsula Partnership and Peninsula Community Foundation’s shared role as a community nexus. PCF has been a gathering place for people, ideas and community building since 1964, and the Peninsula Partnership has been working to improve the lives of children since 1993.

CLEAR SPACE GUIDELINES

For the Peninsula Partnership for Children, Youth and Families Logo to maintain its impact, the surrounding area must remain clean and uncluttered. Careful consideration must be used when placing the Logo close to graphic elements such as photography, other logos, borders, illustrations or text. Please refer to the measurements at left for the clear space requirements. Follow these guidelines in every use of the Logo.

COLOR SPECIFICATION GUIDELINES

“Partnership Blue” is Pantone 299c. The color appears in the spiral mark and the word “partnership”. The color should always be adjusted to match 100% Pantone coated when printing on both coated and uncoated paper.

If Pantone spot color cannot be used, Partnership Blue may be reproduced using a 4-color print process (C= 85, M=19, Y=0, K=0). Please work carefully to match the Peninsula Partnership’s color when printing this way.

When using the Peninsula Partnership Logo for digital media, use #3399cc (R=51, G=153, B=204)).

PREFERRED USAGE AND SIZE RESTRICTION GUIDELINES

Whether reversing the PP Logo to white on black or reproducing the Logo in black on a light background, choose the background color carefully to provide strong contrast and legibility.

The Peninsula Partnership Logo may be embossed (we prefer a “registered” emboss) but only the spiral mark is embossed. The embossing process should leave a clean, clear impression of the spiral mark but appear without a hard, beveled edge.

There are two size restrictions for using the Peninsula Partnership Logo. The preferred logo for all applications is the Large Logo format, but it is not to be used smaller than 1 3/4”. For small use applications of 1 3/4” to 1 1/4”, please use the Small Logo format. The Peninsula Partnership Logo may NOT be reproduced smaller than 1 1/4”.
